Upon the meeting of our eyes,
I heard some music play;
and in my heart its melody
played all throughout the day.

Through racing beats and fluttering,
my heart began to fly;
and while the music played within,
I soared up to the sky.

Allow me then a moment
to reflect upon this gift,
where your presence, pure and simple,
has done more than merely lift,

my life, my soul, and yes my heart
up from the solid ground.
Now each has found the freedom
to hear love's precious sound.
