The TV family sitcom All in The Family and It's satire on the Generation Gap is needed so sorely now. We are in need of a little humor on today's generational divide over cultural issues, if we are to survive the polarizing effect Americas culture war has had on our society.
The Bunkers were so appropriately named as in (bunkering down), because of their resistance (Archie in particular) to the changing cultural attitudes reflected in their daughter and son in law Gloria and Michael.
