Where are memories stored away?
I think in the heart - there to stay.
Some say the brain - I disagree-
The heart is the place for these to be.

How many are there? It's hard to say.
You can bring some out on any day.
Some have been there a very long time.
I cherish each one for they are mine,

Memories help us relive the past.
Some of them will always last.
We take a look back - and remember when,
They tell us where we've already been.

Precious they are - store them well!
How often they'll emerge - no one can tell
But when they do our heart will sing
I'm sure they're attached to the heart strings.
