Books

Books are, Oh, such charming friends!
I stand mine in a row.
I love to see their shiny backs
And titles all aglow.
I like to hold them in my hands
And leaf their pages through.
Some day I'll have to take the time
To read their contents, too.

Poetic Aphorisms Blood is thicker than water,
But not usually thick enough.

But the greatest accomplishments
Are made by men of great
Impatience.

In prayer, 'tis not the sound
On human ear
The hosts of Heaven hear,
But the sound of a loving heart,
For God and others--set apart.
