What Did He Say?

I was once the proud owner of a Siamese cat,
Or, just perhaps, he owned me,
Who owned who is not really the point,
Because he was boss, as you'll see.
We were talking one day, my cat and me,
My grand daughter sitting nearby,
And each time that I made a comment,
Cocoa answered quickly with a cry.
The conversation went on several minutes I guess,
My grand daughter watched from her chair,
She slowly arose and came over to me,
It was clear that she wanted to share.
She leaned on my knee and looked in my eyes,
When they're curious they all look that way,
She quietly said, "I know you've been talking,
But, grampa, what did he say?".
