Seventeenth Of February

I feel dear Lord to pen some praise
To You, my Lord and King,
I pray my mind and pen unite
To give You praise for everything.

First of all I thank You Lord
For this sunswept retreat,
Where minutes make the hours dear Lord
And my time with You is sweet.

I praise you Lord for the gulls,
Which strut across my path,
The magpie's call, the rustling leaves,
And the kookaburra's laugh!

The trees my Lord possess
such a majestic height,
Lending shade on sunlit days,
And a shelter for the night.

All glorious glory Jesus to you,
So cherished was that time,
Spent beneath the trees my Lord,
When my heart with yours entwined.
