Working in caverns of blue and white with duty and delight
For four days and four nights a man would labor, mining
For eventually he would leave the cavern, with its bright light
The boy believed his time would last forever, unending
In a cavern of blue and white,
The miner descended with duty and delight,
This was his final job before day turn to night
He spotted a pair of sapphire gems shining bright,
He extracted the gems from that warm rock socket,
With a hand as cold as ice,
The miner set them away in his pocket,
The gems that looked so very nice,
Ascending with a lion's pride,
The miner pondered and was horrified,
A coal miner who mines gems Such a thing
is very much unseen
He had hoped, he had dreamed,
Climbing higher and higher,
Thinking of those gems that had him so intrigued,
Climbing higher and higher,
What if he screamed to world how he found those bright sapphire gems
But when the time of had to show his newly found fun
The things
And all he had left was emptiness in his hands
What if the miner lost those beautiful sapphire gems, where would he stand
The miner checked his pocket, Empty
Where had they gone did they fall were they stolen
The miner didn’t have time to waste
It was only a matter of time before he would depart the cavern
So Climbing higher and higher,
Not a soul would know what happened that night,
Climbing higher and higher,
Not a soul would know his burden or plight,
The miner had two options,He could descend further search for those beautiful gems,
Or continue his path of egress
holding feelings of despair and regret
And resentment,
The gems that he found,
That he discovered only to loose last minute
Why was he suffer this, for growth for improvement
The gems, the gems he would risk anything for, everything for, was in another’s hands
He had no explanation why, no reason why,
All he had was fickle passion corrupted by jealousy and resentment
Where had they gone, where do gems go
Why did the miner choose the gems if they couldn’t choose him
His emotions were emmes,
Hate, fear, jealousy, sadness, embarrassment
The miner
To end this obsession,
To move on and find a new gem,
Or live in the past and in the mine
