Ballard of broken miner

Working in caverns of blue and white with duty and delight
For four days and four nights a man would labor, mining
For eventually he would leave the cavern, with its bright light
The boy believed his time would last forever, unending
In a cavern of blue and white,
The miner descended with duty and delight,
This was his final job before day turn to night
He spotted a pair of sapphire gems shining bright,
