Twin Cities of Ruins

Hiroshima and Nagasaki—
The twin cities
Though brutally bombed by insanity,
With hands colorfully powdered
With deadly nukes,
Still exist
In throbbing veins of ruins
In the sobbing conscience of humanity!

Chopped limbs of love and peace
Float even today;
With a gory tale of catastrophe
Being retold each day, with each ripple
Mourning in murmur
In surging tides of innocent blood.

So what if the eyes
Of compassion were gouged out
From the smiling face
Of the world; mouth gagged,
Or parts of the body amputated?

Sperms of love, humanity and peace
Will always be active,
Gladly gliding....hidden, unseen
In the fertile womb—
The liberal, secular, cordial womb
Of Mother Earth.

Each time they are crushed,
There are more born winners,
Warriors and harbingers of a new world.
