It is a clear night
I'm falling with the stars and
There are no clouds to catch me
My death will be
beautiful and bloody
but I am not afraid
With eyes clear as the sky and
a heavy heart pulling me
falling, tumbling
through the wind
This is as free as I'll ever be
For what are clouds
but the vapour of dreams?
And what are stars
but smatterings of the pieces
of shattered wishes
Written oh so gently
by a child so genuinely
Who would have known?
The skies are blue and black
the moon is pale and pallid and
the stars only listless, lifeless flecks
People wish to, pray to
a sky adorned with a thousand corpses
No wonder wishes fall on deaf ears
And children cry at night
