I had a dream,
across the sea,
there was a land,
that I had wished to see.
Not only was it hard,
to go sailing, except in the dark,
but to quietly pass the beast in the sea.
Lurking day and night,
you did not want to be caught in its sight,
but I knew it could never catch me.
So I took my boat,
with an unfailing hope,
to reach the land that I had wished to see.
I said through the night with no beast in sight,
but the waters rumbling beneath me.
Then suddenly the beast had arose,
from the dark great unknown,
from the midnight waters around me.
Then the waves began to rise,
and my voice began to cry,
as the beast attacked me from the sea.
With the waters caving in,
and being pulled down into the midst,
I never saw the land I wished to see.
