They say we're all flawed,
Embedded with imperfections
But that's what makes us human,
Even when we're swimming in the waters of oblivion
We may be weak and hurting,
But we aren't those who need fixing
Seeking comfort and clarity,
We look for answers
As this loud silence surrounds us,
Beneath the stars in the moonlit night
The blankness of the waters,
The shadows of dawn elope us
I was always told,
I might've been made from a broken mould
Many walked away,
When all I wanted them to do was stay
They say don't you ever give up,
But it's so hard to be something when you're not
And then at night when the stars light up my room
I look up at the sky,
Talking to the moon
In hopes there's someone out there talking to me too
Or maybe I'm just a fool,
Who sits alone talking to the moon
