I remember them in many -- yes, many ways.
Being raised in the old fashion way.
Learning the law of survival was a joy.
When money was too scarce, to buy a toy.
I watched his beard and hair grow white
As he labored hard, from dawn unto night.
I seen her hair turn from black to grey
As she worked hard, day after day.
I found much wisdom, that can not be bought --
From the many lessons, of which they taught.
I knew! some day we had to part
And that losing them would break my heart.
But! it is no sin to feel sad
The days we buried my Mom and Dad.
