Wide Prairie Sky

Wide prairie sky
blue as an azury sea
carrying armadas of white
sailing forth on a stiff March breeze
why so blustery and cold
so near to springtime's thaw
let the warmth of lengthening days
bring joy to one and all.
Wide prairie sky
here 'neath your broad canopy
you give me a sense of the vastness of space
and how small I truly must be.
Still as the heart thrills to a cadence divine
you tell of worlds yet to be
where spirit shall be forever enthroned
and Mind answering mind sets one free.
