Learn to look past
LIKE THIS POEM
Learn to look past,
to be the first to part.
Tears, saliva, sperm
are no solvents for solitude.
On gilded wedding bowls,
on prostitutes' plastic cups,
an eye can see, if skilled,
solitude's bitter residue.
