Golden sun rays hit my eyes
As I look beyond the skies
Laughter of the children, groaning of the old
The tears of the fallen, and the cries of woes
The surge of warmth within,
Captures me in bliss herein
As the laughter soon subsides,
I am but an empty shell
Winter has come to trap me
Yet smile I can
For life can be cruel
Fight I shall, live I shall
I will live.
And once more feel the warmth,
For life is beautiful.
Even for me, unadorned with the mercy of will.
