The Sun and the Moon

He resembled the violent turbulence of the oceans
She was the delicate touch of a shy hand
He bellowed thunderous echoes across high mountains
She, a lovely milky dream,
Strew light at nightfall across the lands

He rose each day in orange and gold armor yellow anticipating his love's return.
She appeared in her pearl finery each night
He slumbered while she lovingly watched over him
While the world slowly turned.

He was the mighty rumbling of the thunder.
She a soft, gentle rain.
From the beginning of time
Until times end
Together they shall remain
