Ole yellowbelly

Ole yellowbelly had spurs on his feet
That his daddy used to make his draft-dodging complete
He would praise fighting men and hand out medals
Too cowardly to fight
He had a big streak of yellow
To fight hand to hand
He didn't dare
Turned out he really was a bag of hot air

He ran and hid behind daddy’s money and grace
While thousands of young men died in his place
So saved from the war he went on with his life
While others left their lives in Vietnam
In the blood and strife

The truth now is known
The payment rightly due
Now the ghosts of the honorable soldiers
Will evermore haunt you
