If all the world is a stage

An actor
What part do you play?
Do you wallow in the depths of the night?
Or a Beacon of righteousness
Shine out in the pious day

Are you courageous when faced with unexpected adversity?
A coward shrinking from battle when faced with even a mild controversy?
Do you imagine the vast unknown
An endless blanket of stars and planets
Are you cool, level headed, logical?
Or perhaps a bit manic

Are you empathetic to suffering of others?
Soulless have a heart of stone
Do you prefer the company of others?
The songs of silence
And the isolation of being alone

Will you create your own destiny?
Or believe it was written by fate
Before you were born
To trudge through life
A trying tumultuous affair
Between evil and good
Forever torn

If all the world is a stage
An actor
What part do you play?
Will you be forthcoming or blatantly truthful
Only the actor can say.
