My eyes widen and my heart begins to race
Bitter memories travel at warp speed through the neocortex in my brain
In a brief moment of weakness
I entertain the thought I may be insane
I tremble at even the merest touch
Hate, love, and fear travel through my soul in a frenzied rush
Distressing thoughts course steadily through my veins
And bounce off my skull to and fro
The phenomenon is quite familiar to me
It's the only life I know.
For I cannot bear the human touch
It has taken from me all I hold dear
And to bear it would devastate me
It is simply too much
So, on this subject
To you, these words are all I have to say
I can no longer bear the human embrace.
