Even as they Cast their eyes away

Society grows ever colder
The species of man a day older
As blood lust becomes ever stronger
It is evident we will not exist much longer

Consuming the dreams of darkness
With relish drinking down the liquid of shame
Glorifying all that unholy
And with evil eagerly lay

The chains about their hearts
Become heavier by the day
For they realize what lies before them
Fragile creatures
Even as they cast their eyes away

So, this is what we have become
A decaying composition now sung
Notes that will be long lost on a wailing breeze
Bones resting in the cold depths of the seas

So as society becomes colder
The species of man a day older
So onward they continue to their doom
There is no more to say
For they understand the future that awaits them
Even as they cast their eyes away
