My inner child

I am alive through the light of silence
which gives comfort to my soul
each day I listen to the whisper
to share the joyfulness of this world

the clouds to shield my sorrow
brings tears to my eye
when I look at my childhood days
to witness how children die

the treasure of wisdom I envision
comes in the castle of my dream
which takes away the darkness
to become bubbles in the stream

The role I portray with humility
makes me think like a sage
every opportunity I choose to be free
to see myself as a mirror on stage
to prove that I am a true father
a pure son and a dear friend
where in the end there's a beginning
from where I first descend.

for three decades I was lost
as an addict wandering through
the world pursuing the wrong dream
going after the pleasure of the senses
and forgetting my true identity
It was only when I thought that
I had reached the end of my career
it turned out to be a new beginning

then I remembered my childhood days
back in school writing short stories
because I always dream of becoming
a recognized person someday
I remember when the girls in class
would give me a piece of blank
paper and a pen to write a love
poem to touch their heart
when my little verse must be
better than the ones they would
find inside a postcard

for three months now I have found
this poetry site and my whole life
has made a turnaround
I have changed all
bad habits now and is looking
to share my silent thoughts
with the whole world
night and day I find myself
behind a poem looking for
the stars to give me light

I have found the muse I have
been searching for to give me
that happiness
coming from within which I have
buried in my mind and now
like a volcano erupting in my
darkest shadows over time
is reflecting the true lamp
which I am inspired to dream
nothing happens before the
right moment and I will not
surrender my faith

The long years of persevering
the goal is about to explode
I will carry the burden on the yoke
over my shoulder until the day
I must die
the world will recognize my purpose
for taking this form of human
birth and the God's of the universe
will allow me to proclaim my victory
for which they have all been waiting
patiently for me to achieve

this is the journey of fate which
has brought me thus far as ordained
even before I was born
a vision of enlightenment
which took a lifetime to experience
and to complete with everything
falling into place like putting together
a puzzle and creating
a single masterpiece.
