Once like a river, our laughter did flow,
As we shared secrets, like no others would know,
But then came the storm, with thunderous rage,
And the bond we cherished, began to fade.

The laughter now echoes, but with a hollow sound,
As the silence between us, deafeningly profound,
Once close as kin, now strangers we stand,
With wounds so deep, we cannot comprehend.

Yet, amidst the wreckage, a flicker of hope,
A chance for healing, to learn and to cope,
For friendships, like flowers, can wither and die,
But seeds of forgiveness may bloom, as time passes by.
