LIKE THIS POEM
Your slanting smile
like a pendant-moon
ready to collapse
on pomegranates.

Monstrous, bug-eyed,
my pug will jump;
whenever, I touch
his snub-nose.

Death was sparring
after a brief encounter.
What was the need
for living more?
