I love you no more
thus is the excuse for my faded eyes, my stolid demeanor,
faint smile and distant thoughts.
I love you not as I once did,
with a love that could keep a thousand candles lit.
The fire has settled; the burning ceased.
The flames no longer rise to where they once reached.
All my love is done,
gone and fled into the setting sun.
There it waits to be rediscovered.
