Other Eyes: Daisy
LIKE THIS POEM
Not often now in flower or in word
is day's eye even dimly seen or heard.
Our Anglo-Saxon's rusty. But the gaze
that suddenly meets ours on summer days
can still remind us: little drop of sun
staring from petals, metaphor not done.
