What's Good?

A good deal is one in which everyone wins.
A good game is one that all the players enjoy.
A good country is one that takes care of its poor.
A good life is one rich in both struggles and joy.

A good job is one that allows you to do what you love
while challenging you to constantly get better.
A good family is a group of people
who love each other no matter what-forever.

Good trouble, as John Lewis called it,
means we can't just accept the status quo
but have to challenge injustice wherever we find it,
though we'll likely be called wicked for doing so.

Understanding what's 'good' is surprisingly tough,
but just trying to be good is not good enough.
We have to think, and rethink, just what it means,
because more often than not, it's not what it seems.
