Rhyme and Reason

Rhyme and reason,
sound and sense,
a proffered hand
as recompense.
A dash of yin,
a pinch of yang,
now mix it together
the children sang.
Life and death,
love and hate,
put aside your anger
before it's too late.
Right or wrong,
left or right,
what difference does it make
in the dead of night?
Forgive your enemies,
embrace your friends,
whatever your grievance
make amends.
