The Ice Cream Man

Playgrounds, the lakefront and swimming pools...
We rode our bikes all over the neighborhood...
Attended first class public schools...

We would all be home for dinner...
At the exact same time every night...
We ate together as a family...
And never was there ever a fight...

A time when we all ran around barefoot...
And skinned our knees without any tears...

We woke up early in the morning...
Played games throughout the day...
Had friends in every neighborhood...
Rode Stingray bikes way past the Causeway...
