The loud, cruel laughter of dirge
besieges us so greatly in the face of
wanton humiliation.
It comes mightily, crashing our aged
city walls, unearthing the foundations of
churches,
tolling bells in pulsated grief . . .

Disconsolate clouds above us
Wince at the rib-image cracks of lightning.
Billowing smokes of ashes eddy at the
Foot of this huge necropolis, replete with hate.
We mourn the loss of lustres ...
This Waste!
With insidious revelry, rodomontade of
Stripped masquerades besiege the crevices of our brook;
Our daughters, near insane, eviscerate themselves of
Enlarged yolk...
