Popular Summers end Poems
Corn Roast

Summer is almost over, time for harvesting
And celebrating it with corn and chili
We have bonfires to cook them good
The music plays from an old boombox
As the dancing begin to fill the night
The August moon shines brightly in the sky
Competing with the smoke from the leftovers
And the empty bottles of wine
The end of night becomes the day's begging
As we head home for another year
