I See the World With Open Eyes

My heart did beat,
A fortress of stone, with no retreat,
I kept the world at bay with ease,
And let no one come close to me.
But then one day, a crack appeared,
A chink in my armor, to be feared,
A stranger's kindness broke me open,
And all my defenses were broken.

I teach ancient knowledge only made yesterday
I speak about free will when i am told to.
I am the fool atop the world
throwing stones at those who challenge me
I claim to speak the truth but sell lies instead
I truly Believe that i am humble
Yet i build statues to spread my name

My mind was set, my pride stood tall.
But then a shift, a change of heart,
And suddenly my world fell apart.
What once was clear, now seemed obscure,
The things I knew, I was no longer sure.
My stubbornness had kept me blind,
But now I see, a new path to find.

Give before you are gone

We will leave everything behind, then why all the fuss?
