Nothing Wilts Faster Than a Flower in Snow

Nothing wilts faster than a flower in snow
No matter how much you love it, cold stiffens its growth
See, a flower thats covered by droplets of ice
Is mistaken for beauty and it comes with a price
Where no sun reaches leaves to fill it with warmth
A flower will struggle to maintain its form
Remember that rose that I gave you before
It was a piece of my heart and it left me still sore

Still Forever

A trap, still forever.
Your still learning to ride the bike of your childhood,
Frozen fossil.
Closed mind to surprise,
Weak muscle memory and repetitious daily aches.
Archaeologists uncover the remains of the real you,
Astrologists reveal the future you never saw.
