Final Destination

Many years were spent searching for a realm that was existential.
An escape from reality with endless potential. Failure tainted itself upon the journey.
Love dangled high and hopes were left burning.
A vessel shrouded in darkness, the world around it felt heartless.
By chance summer's joyous passions managed to spare light.
Pieces of a shattered mirror were made whole again.
There was much fear initially, but a new year burst the strongholds of doubt.
A content and vulnerable soul.
Out of it birthed warm hugs, delightful kisses and an unforgettable flame.
The train had reached kingdom come, but sunrise was long gone and the monstrous creatures lurking in the shadows had risen. Faced with enemies on all fronts, defeat appeared nearly inevitable.
