Read it as a poem where the mirror is personfied as the artist. So you have to decide for yourself who is she/he/it and what is my relationship to the mirror as an artist personified.
Also as a poem about schizophrenia where the voices are imagined as images or ideas reflected back, and language is also reflected back. Also a stream of consciousness poem.

my Son saved my life,
but I’m not sure it was worth saving.
I endured what others say is Unimaginable…
what would kill men
stronger and faster and smarter…
I survived alone
He came, that Light within me, and I escaped… Saving his life was saving my own

Mirrors of churning reflection

In the mirror's churning reflection, I'd gaze,
A constant distortion, a bewildering haze,
My true self obscured, by the narcissistic game,
A battle within, for my identity's name.
The mirror would twist, my image it'd bend,
As the projections took hold, a relentless trend,
I knew I was good, with a heart that was kind,
But the mirror showed a monster, a distorted bind.
