Window to the World

Clickety clack go the wheels, along an endless track,
And the whistle sounds forlorn, in a night so black.
I gaze at glimmering stars, and pearly moon hung low,
And I'm lulled to peaceful slumber, by motion here below.

When gay sunshine once again, greets a rosy countryside,
I am feeling the warmth, though just along for the ride,
Meditating on memories, floating by like summer breeze,
Looking forward and behind, past fleeing emerald trees!

My Dark Room

Under the warm sheets of gloom.

I remember what it's like,
On a mountain hike.
I can see the reassuring Green,
The cool sensation that it brings.
Touched by your smile my queen.

I, his heart's nominee!
I hear footsteps in the hall-
I fear that I'm about to fall.

The face of love is in my mind;
His footsteps are not far behind.
Irrepressible one, come, come.
What corner of dreams are you from?

Summer of moonlights so rare.
Whispers of a lover's dream;
Haunting of a lover's theme.

Black hat which once was worn;
Red heart that in my dreams were born.
Velvet kisses of lost nights-
Scarlet cushions of secret delights!
