Venus
by Ayatullah Nurjati

Your breath catches up
Your scent is annoying
If only I wasn't the innocent me I would have crushed your fingers in a worldly
moan
Unfortunately I'm not an angel—instead I'm impressed as the incarnation of
bedbugs
As if I have a passion to transmit the essence of lust
If you're not my lover, I'd better go to mbah shaman to complain or to the sea
it's better
There I found jellyfish, dolphins and their inhabitants

A True Feeling Of Love
by Jeffrey Pipes Guice

People fall in love
In many different ways...
We’re in a whole new world
Unlike the old traditional days...

I know it’s hard for you...
To express a true feeling of love...
We were just brought up differently...
When push finally comes to shove...

Krakatau coughs briefly as a farewell sign, spewing lava and crackling sparks—as if they were two lovers struck by amnesia
That night felt different, the sea roared and swept across Krakatau’s soles
as if bringing news of what it means to lose and to be present

Waves brushed gently against its ankles,

My lover's lips
by Lillian France

Your lips, oh your lips
Your warm soft kiss takes something from me

Cove of a river rushing fast then gently
My body is consumed by the water

Oh, water that gives life
Your taste sustains me

My Undeniable Love
by Christen Kuikoua

Day by day
Night by night
I find myself loving you more and more
Every song I sing,
and the emotions it builds
Is a reminder of my love so real

Your beauty and grace
Surpasses what my eyes have ever seen
or my ears ever heard
