Love in a Library

My hands nervously shaking, flipping the pages of the book I ain’t reading.
My eyes not seeing the words before me.
Breath caught within; my head spinnin while I’m sittin’, waitin’ and watchin’ anxiously
as the librarian ever gently
picks up the book with my note which I penned, positioned, and placed so intently;
Trying to lay my emotions plainly, perfectly.
Now my head’s swimming, a sea of thoughts threatening to pull me down and drown me,
In the ocean’s depths my fears surround me.
What had come over me to lay my soul so barely?
Slowly, quietly, fears building inside me, I think to slink away before her eyes find me.

The Secret Garden

L-et the golden silence reign absolute;
U-nwelcome is noise in the house of thought.
S-o much to explore in the universe of mind,
H-ued richly with precious gems of every kind!
L-ight enters inside, so glintingly beautiful,
I-nk takes on new images and shapes, blackly.
B-ees breeze by August, seeking their honey,
R-abbits hop high grass, down in the country.
A-bove, the milky stars compel us to wonder,
R-acing toward scintillating, blazing infinity.
