To The Beautiful Miss Eliza J——n, On Her Principles Of Liberty And Eqality - P
by Robert Burns

HOW, Liberty! girl, can it be by thee nam'd?
Equality too! hussey, art not asham'd?
Free and Equal indeed, while mankind thou enchainest,
And over their hearts a proud Despot so reignest.

A Nation Of Cowards
by Hébert Logerie

Powerful words,
Truthful words,
Honest words,
Brave words;
This is exactly what the Doctor orders,
For a nation, who's trying to fight the horrors
Of blatant racism,
Unfairness, injustice,
Nepotism and sexism.
A man of Peace,

The sailor
by Kerry Iheanyichukwu

The sailor lives in the cabin of his blind weary ship,
He communes with the waves, speaks with the quivering rattle in his head and the quiscent breeze in his face
His humor is warped, the gulls are his comedians.
He relishes the company of his ancient silver clock that chimes with gentle accuracy
Quite circumspect with time yet strangely lackadaisical with his own life!
He is married, Yes!! to the beautiful tattoo on his right arm and his prodigy are the herring, the Salmon and the ever-lit cigar between his lips.
Bart enjoys the music that resonates from the wary jungle yonder,The songs of savages, lyrics of cannibals and the chorus of monstrous beastly tunes.
He wears a fading azure shirt, fastened only on the last button, and a pair of brown khakis given to him at age 10.
The sailor is plagued with uncertainty yet begs the Lord for a new ship.
Cries for sanity yet begs for freedom

Colored Smile
by Hébert Logerie

I have never seen one
I have never seen a colored smile
I have never seen a white smile
I have never seen a black smile
I have never seen one
But I have seen a few beautiful smiles
Oh! It feels good when a woman smiles
Especially one who has style
Charisma, elegance, intelligence and a nice profile
I mean one who is not contumelious or vile

Manchmal
by Ahmet Yalcinkaya

meines Wissens, meiner Ignoranz,
auf meiner Stirn sind Etikette, die ich in der Entwicklungsschüssel gelöffelt habe,
ich werde verrückt auf die Trägheit meines sehenden Auges, hörenden Ohres…

Mysterious Morning
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

dawn meeting of minds
sharing facts in orange mist
espionage days

for the good of all
like roses in the green hall
make the hours brighter

joy and liberty
underneath the singing birds
