Feelings are like scent
If not maintained, won't stay the same

The naivety of past, the temptations of a youth
All of which was subdued by a bittersweet truth

'Upsetting' it wasn't so much as the heart seem to mature
But now it seems meaningless, perhaps a futile tenure?

"Happiness is a warm gun" once the Beatles said

Refrains of happy, healthy breath;
Some turn harder and bitter
We must have to fight life to death.

Time robs us of the loved ones
Putting our patience to a hard test;
Filled with awe and dismay
We overcome it but beat our chest.
