Grass on the lawn
says nothing:
Clipped, empty,
Quiet.
Grass in the fields
whistles, slides,
casts up a foam
of seeds,
Tangles itself
With leaves: hides
......
i tread lightly, so lightly,
like the blades of freshly mowed grass under bare feet,
soft but sharp, each step a gamble,
each breath a question:
is this enough? am i enough?
or will this be the moment i falter,
crack the shell beneath me,
and ruin the picture they’ve painted of me?
the air smells like summer mornings,
......
pretty in sunshine
puffy vagrant clouds drift by
grey peaks of mountains
blue jay seeks his tree
long before the fiery end
awaiting moonlight
lying in green grass
at noontime of blissful blue
......
strawberries in cream
basking in the gold sunshine
a deep diving duck
into tall green grass
a crowded garden's fragrance
caught out in the rain
the blackness of night
twinkling stars surrounding all
......
In the tall green grass of August I lay,
And the sky was a sparkling deep blue,
And the orange sun sat on a distant hill,
As I drowsed in the forever of a moment!
Magenta blush and red flowers over my head,
Waved at the vivid birds floating above,
As puffy clouds drifted slowly, far away.
A yellow butterfly landed in my long hair,
And fluttered away as insects hummed tunes.
Time slowed to a stop in the season of sun!

The scents were calling
for a frolic in the grass
bordered by sweet blooms.
Life's full of unplanned pleasures
like a kiss under the moon.
In the tall green grass
cobalt sky was the limit.
Laughter in sunshine-
in early days of summer
