TW: This poem features sensitive subjects including drink spiking.
I would love some feedback on the poems, especially about how it works rhythmically and grammatically. Please note, I am aware some letters are randomly capitalised, I don't know why it has done this!
Lost in the Woods
She walked, with jingling keys clutched to her side.
With a racing heart, sweating palms and a swelling in her throat.
She stumbled through the streets as they distorted,
as they twisted and contorted.
......
Once upon a time
There was a bear called Bear
And a dog called Doug
and a cat called Cat
And a sheep call Hugh
And a dolphin called Delphine
And an Ox call Leon
......
In a kingdom filled with tradition and pride
Two hearts silently collided
Prince Dean and Princess Delilah, forbidden love
A love that the world would never approve of
Prince Dean, with eyes so bright
Asked Princess Delilah one moonlit night
"Do you think I can give you happiness?"
Her response was filled with sadness
......
Beyond the limitless barriers of one’s mind, all doubts fade
Whispers of divine power chant a cosmic tale.
In Eden’s embrace, guardian angles weave with grief
What shall be destined, despite ones mistaken belief.
But, oh to believe
Its reflection illuminates the beauty of the divine with a glance,
Pierces the heart while within lies a sacred trance.
A gift of oneness
A power unseen
There’s nothing that one cannot find within
