The Lonely Scarecrow.

Beneath the shadow of the Ragged Stone Hill,
Nestles the Hamlet; Ravenwood Mill.
Outside the hamlet, about a country mile,
You will find in a hedge; an old wooden stile.

In a field of corn beyond the old wooden stile,
Stands a Scarecrow with a painted on smile.
Arms outstretched; old gloves for hands,
Day after day the lonely Scarecrow stands.
