Reason Is Not Enough

What people call reason
is usually nothing more than a weapon
they wield to justify their prejudices.
I have seen otherwise kind people
cut a friend to ribbons with cold logic
and then smile at the carnage,
forgetting that pride is one of the
seven deadly sins.

I’m cold when alone
I’m hot with a fever

You've got it all figured, your believes are Stern.
Unturn, stubborn.
A boulder that stand strong.
Just as lifeless. But you stand among
those who first soften and then fade in Oblivion.
