The Alienated Child
by Moushegh Ishkhan

With a troubled heart, poor and very miserable,
And with my walking stick in hand and very confused,
I returned to my homeland once again
After being alienated for many years.
Because of life's heavy burden I had my back bent,
And my mind lost and very confused.
I returned to my homeland once again
After crossing seven mountains and seven seas.

At the village entrance, I saw my childhood friend,

When
by j d

When the feeling is gone and the days are too long
When you’re crying for fear, of deciding wrong

When sky always grey and the suns far too bright
When you can never sleep
When you’re out every night
When you’re too nauseous to eat & too nauseous to sleep
And the evil thoughts
Begin to creep

We are one and we are weird
by j d

Listen to my fears
We are one and we are weird
drowning in the rain
Two and two are quite the same
We all wanna hide
Or shrivel up and die
It always seems the same
Like a broken window pane

The stare of the flat pupil
by Kamilla Letrai

Looking for a sign of understanding in your eyes...
The view is the empty sky. Ignoring one’s deepest prayers.

I am no stranger to beautiful, but empty sights
Dilated pupils. See them deepen, not ashore.

what they said but
he only told me that I'll
have to follow

Fade away
by j d

Chiseled faces, to meet and greet
Jumping out, beneath my feet
Tortured souls, of pain, and anguish
Searching for something lost, and sacred

Pain all in my knees, and my mind is just as weak
Glad that I can see, but wishing I could speak
Alone in a crowd just staring at the clouds
Deathly afraid to speak my thoughts aloud
