Beauteous Affinity

I was a fashionable interior decorator, beautifying comfortable, loved homes;
And selecting wall paints, fabrics and furniture, like the sparkle of gemstones.

I worked closely with eager owners, for their wildest, dream homes to occur,
Like clusters of wild, blooming daisies, which upon one color, seem to concur.

I chose rugs for the floor, and artwork for walls, as per proud owners' wishes,
Like wistful, nostalgic, climbing wisteria, so eager to feel sunny, golden riches.

Fresh, fruitful days of flowering springtime, brought favored friends outdoors,

The Narrow Streets

They wend their way through Sunshine City
Cobblestoned, sloped, and Old World pretty;
And lined with colorful, homes in glad unity,
Streets linked heart to heart, in deep affinity.

Up one crooked path, and down to the river,
As rosy birds sing in green trees that quiver;
And soon arises pearl moon, a glowing sliver,
Making the roads to everywhere a bit clearer.
