Feel deeply

I’m someone who feels—someone who feels so deeply that I started wishing to become numb. I saw the wars inside others, but I myself was too helpless to help. My mind was a forest that was set in flames; I just started running away from everything—people, emotions, and thoughts. But when I met you, I saw a person walking towards me, and each step of theirs created blossoms across the ground. I was too terrified to run away. I knew as you got closer, you’d be able to see through this act of mine. But as you got closer, the forest of flames in my mind soon became an untouched temple.
