The empire state

When she saw young men
Born of women clad in army fatigues
The morning sun was at ear angle
The day so serene, seemingly
But her mind keeps racing
Maybe the palace hotel is burning again

She is a citizen of the empire state
Where rats and rodents pay no rates
The evening is hectic, the masses frentic
The out of city buses are full
Road blocks and military checkpoints
She has his ticket to the abys

Ignore the sign posts fool
Ideologues and crimnologues nontheless
But she remembers many before that owned our streets
But maggots showed them no respect.
She settles in her seat
For the night is long and the road bumpy!
