In response today to a post which states that we should be there where we will be most appreciated:
but there's another side to this:
I think of spending time with the lonely, the neglected, the marginalised, the needy, the sick, the homeless and hopeless.
It is here that I am closest to my fellow-beings and where I can share their sorrows. Suffering is everywhere and we should reach out to those in such strait.
This is the true measure of our humanity.
