The Economy Is but a Tool

Amidst the winds of change and fate,
The economy doth fluctuate,
A force so mighty and so great,
Determining the state of every nation's fate.

It ebbs and flows like ocean's tide,
A reflection of the world outside,
With markets rising and falling like the sun,
An endless cycle that's never done.

The rich and poor both feel its sway,
Their futures tied to its every play,
For when the economy is strong and bright,
The future is filled with hope and light.

But when it falters and begins to fall,
The future seems bleak and dim for all,
For jobs are lost and prices soar,
And life becomes a constant chore.

Yet in the end, the economy is but a tool,
A means to an end, not a ruler to rule,
For what matters most in life we know,
Is love, compassion, and the seeds we sow.
